I built a Claude Code plugin that handles the whole social sharing pipeline — and honestly it's been one of the most satisfying things to dog-food.

social-media-tools takes any code change, blog post, video, or session recap and turns it into a styled dark-mode card with platform-ready copy. Here's what I kept coming back to:

1. Seven card templates (diff, feature, quote, blog, video, snippet, session) — populate with variables, screenshot via Playwright, done.
2. Security scrub runs on every path before anything goes out — API keys, JWTs, credentials. No manual check required.
3. The social-share router figures out which skill to invoke from a natural-language request. You just describe what you want to share.

The piece I like most: the media library saves every card as HTML with the post copy inside it. Pull copy for reposting weeks later without touching the generator again.

I kept hitting the same wall sharing dev work — pick a platform, write copy, stay under the character limit, make it not look terrible.

So I built social-media-tools for Claude Code: security-scrub on every path, seven card templates, platform-aware copy with limits enforced, and a media library that saves the HTML + copy together for easy reuse later.

The reuse piece is what surprised me most. Regenerating a card from scratch is annoying — having the copy already there isn't.
